Jelena ŠImić Popović

Jelena Šimić Popović
was born in Sombor, Serbia in 1977.
In 2009. she completed Magister's Studies program in Digital collage at the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Novi Sad, under the mentorship of Professor Jovan Rakidžić.
Previously she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the same University, Department of Painting in Novi Sad in 2003. in the class of Professors Višnja Petrović (drawing) and Jovan Rakidžić (painting).
She also holds an Art Teacher diploma, and she is a licensed Art Teacher for Middle and Secondary school.
So far, she has realized 20 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 30 group exhibitions and programs all around the world since 1999.
Winner of several awards in the field of photography and miniatures.

Her paintings are part of many private collections in Dubai, London, Dublin, New York, Milano, Berlin, Riva del Garda...
Since 2004. she has been a member of ULUV-Association of Fine Artists of Vojvodina.

She creates in two art studios
in Novi Sad/Vojvodina
and
Poreč/Istria.
