Renee Dumont

I fell in love with painting before I even started elementary school and began my professional art career at age 20. Painting has always been my first and lasting passion.

My work explores beauty, joy, peace, and inner strength—elements I believe are woven into our lives through divine design. Rooted in faith and connection to nature, my paintings reflect the quiet power God places within us and the deep bond we share with the world around us. Each brushstroke is intended to stir reflection, celebrate resilience, and spark wonder.

As a graduate of the Milan Art Institute’s Mastery Program, I’ve refined my voice as an abstract realist. I begin with flowing acrylic inks and layered washes, often combining alcohol sprays, palette knives, and bold brushstrokes to create expressive textures and striking light. This mixed media process allows me to constantly evolve, blending intuition with intention.

In addition to original paintings, I welcome custom commissions—from symbolic wildlife and spiritually inspired pieces to heartfelt pet portraits. My goal is to create meaningful art that transforms spaces and touches the spirit.

After graduating from high school in 1978 Renee attended the David Hale Fanning School of Art and continued her education in Fine Art at the Community College of RI and later continued to pursue her love for art at the Worcester Art Museum in Massachusetts. Renee is a self-taught oil painter and portrait artist. Completed the Milan Art Institute Mastery Program.
