Ashot Sardaryan

"I love animals and birds and create their portraits. Each animal, like every person, has its own character, and I try to reflect this in my works. Another theme of painting is close to me and interesting - it's a natural and urban landscape. I am Armenian and spent my childhood and youth in my native land. It is a beautiful and ancient land, rocky mountains and Lake Sevan, boundless like the sea, fast rivers and harsh old churches, monasteries and ancient stone fortresses. My hometown is high in the mountains, with deep gorges and waterfalls, with apricots, peaches and pomegranates in the gardens and vineyards on the mountain slopes covered with forest, under the blue sky and the hot sun. Picturesque landscapes, rich and vivid colors, wild nature, everything that I have absorbed in myself from childhood, is reflected in my painting, and at the same time, I am constantly in search, explore the nature and inner essence of color. I will also try myself in still lifes, portraits, I use different techniques of painting and work in different genres. Ashot Sardaryan was born in 1970 in Armenia, in the city of Kirovakan (now Vanadzor). Since the age of 7 he was seriously involved in painting, he graduated from art school in Kirovakan. He received his professional education in Novosibirsk, where he graduated from the Novosibirsk Construction Institute, studied architecture and economics. Since 2000. the artist lives and works in Moscow. Since 2001, Ashot Sardaryan has been working in the Studio of Museum Facsimiles of Y. Pekurovsky, studio artists collaborate and implement projects with the majority of museums in Moscow and the Moscow region. Ashot Sardaryan is a member of the Professional Union of Artists since 2003.
