Asta Kulikauskaitė Krivickienė, born in 1973 in Kaunas, Lithuania, is a painter known for her unique approach to depicting the natural world and its interplay with personal identity. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2000, specializing inpainting.
Asta’s work is characterized by her abstract interpretations of landscapes, transforming external environments into intimate, inner worlds. Drawing on her imagination, travel experiences, sketches, and photographic material, she creates captivating scenes that transcend literal representations. Her paintings often incorporate motifs of mountains, flora, and oceans, achieved through experimental techniques with acrylic and oil, with a particular focus on the purity of painting and the dynamic relationship between colors. In addition to painting, she also works in traditional printmaking, further expanding her artistic expression.
Since 1997, Asta has exhibited her work extensively in various countries, including Luxembourg, Lithuania, Germany, Belgium, Finland, Denmark, USA and Poland.
