Andrea Klyscz, a passionate photographer and painting artist, is 36 years old and was born and raised in Landshut, a Bavarian town in Germany where she also currently lives. She has spent time in Berlin and has also lived abroad for quite some time in the US, UK and Switzerland.
She is a self-taught, autodidact artist. Her inspiration is drawn from being a visual person which means for her that she easily sees and spots beautiful, as well as ugly, interesting, unique, random things, objects, impressions, people, interactions ect. She loves to discover new places, to travel and get inspired by the variety of styles, values, cultural influences that our different countries have to offer and the possibilities there are in art to reflect those and bring them close to other people. Currently her favorite artist is Alfons Mucha. Her preferred digital image editing technique is HDR on color as well as on black and white photos, focusing mainly on landscape and nature shots. As painter she likes to work with watercolor and oil paint and mainly uses watercolor paper as well as canvas. Apart from the classic painting equipment she also likes to use patterning techniques or cosmetic products like thick tissues or eye make-up remover pads to create art with.
1999, when she was 16 years old she was awarded being the second winner for Germany in the international youth competition jugend creativ. https://www.jugendcreativ.de/ The theme for participating was “creating the future”. Afterwards her artwork was exhibited in the museum Neue Pinakothek in Munich for two months.
