Born in 1961 in Jaipur, I rejuvenated India's antique art heritage, beginning my artistic journey under the tutelage of my father, Natu Lal Marotia. Immersed in vibrant colors from childhood, I delved into miniature painting at ten, mastering styles like Jodhpur, Kota, Bundi, and Jaipur. Despite financial struggles, I persisted, even sold coal and tea to sustain my art.
In 1992, I made a triumphant comeback, winning the District Award for Best Miniature Painting. This marked the start of my ascent, highlighted by the prestigious 1997 National Award. Global recognition followed with a 1984 Paris exhibition, solidifying my status as a premier artist for national representations at international events.
Beyond miniatures, I revived stained glass painting, providing livelihoods and led heritage restoration at Indian landmarks like Jaipur Palace. My footprint spans four continents through workshops, revitalizing miniature art close to extinction.
