Sheila Hooks

Born in Kettering, Northants in 1952. Trained at Loughborough. Moved to West Cork,Ireland in 1995Inspired by the light of West Cork, Impressionists & Pre- Raphaelites. I trained originally in textile design .Although I work mainly in pastels & watercolours I still have an interest in creating the illusion of texture in my work. The surrounding landscape has been my main inspiration over the past 10 years but I also work from the life model as well as still life subjects.
