Jocelyne Bellemare

My painting is a springboard to a projection of emotional energy. I explore hybrid forms of figuration and abstraction, as well as research the essence of the strength that emanates from these dualities. Questioned by the inductor wire that joins and separates at the same time, the opposing characters that are, shadow and light, order and disorder, intuition and reason, I try to draw and to root it pure emotion and unease of being, through my characters. Guided by intuition and without final concept I work my canvas, shaping a texture paste and then construct and deconstruct, by superimposing layers of glaze, pastels and acrylics, through my visions.!
The paintings BELLSARD are a fusion with another artist, Claude Lessard. We explore the manifestations of the unconscious, the borders of the abstract and the figurative. Through the pictorial abstract universe exploded and intuitive of Lessard, I draw my inspiration and interferes with my oil glaze and pastels, to root out and reveal concretely embryonic traits underpinned. The paintings thus transformed, reveals animals forms, humans or hybrids complicit in a universe of cosmic or mythological resonances. Bellsard is a journey into the unknown.
