Bloom And Me

Carolina Trabattoni and Valeria Vaselli met in the editorial staff of “Grazia”, a very famous italian fashion magazine, where they both worked for a long time. Their shared experience at “Grazia“ then continued at “Grazia Casa”. They work together as an artistic duo under the penname Bloom&me by merging the digitally processed photos of Carolina with Valeria’s ink drawings.

Carolina Trabattoni (Lugano, 1967) graduated at the Politecnico of Milano in 1993 and in 1995 obtained a master’s degree in industrial design at the Ensci (Ecole Nationale de Création Industrielle) in Paris. She works on the borderline between design, art, installations and styling. From 1997 to 2000 she was in Paola Navone’s studio as a trend setter, product image concept and exhibition designer. Since 2001 she has worked as a journalist and stylist
in the interiors magazines Grazia Casa and Interni (Mondadori). Her activity includes set design, installations and photography. Photography is the artistic practice that fascinates
her and that she deepens through a personal research on the poetic vision of nature and of the living beings that populate it, on the landscape and on the individuals that relate to it.

Valeria Vaselli (La Spezia,1959) after classical studies graduated in visual design at the Scuola Politecnica of Design in Milan in 1981. She started as a freelance collaborating for advertising in Mondadori publishing, then worked as a journalist and graphic designer at Elle Decor and Grazia magazine, then as graphic editor-in-chief at Grazia Casa and Donna Moderna.

With the “Invisible flowers” project they won the Art Production Prize at the Paratissima Art & Fair edition held at Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan in April 2019.

From 31 May to 13 June 2019 Bloom&me artworks were exhibited at the Galleri Svea in Stockholm during the exhibition “Artists of the light”.
