Britt-Marie Fabic

My inspirations come often from the rocks and the sea from the Swedish westcoast.
I´m fascinated about what traces are left to our time of life and what traces we leave. When a stone is mowing, when I step on it, I can think: That is how I change the world.
I was borned in Boras Sweden 1943. I am now a pensioner and have at last time to do what I really want to do. Paint. As a single mother of two children I felt very unsure beeing an artist. Therefore I studied for some years and after that I´ve worked as a technichal microbiological laboratory assistent - until 2008. During all the years I never gave up painting overall.

Im autodidact except from early studies in weaving and pattern composition. In the 80s I had some exhibition with textiles, and during the years I had some paintings choosen by the jury in the museum art gallery in my home town. I had exhibitions in Borås, Alvesta, Herrljunga, Bollebygd, Arken Gothenburg. In2023 I had three paintings choosen by a jury for the Spring exhibition in Halmstad Art Museum.
