Boladale Ige was born in Ibadan, Oyo state, in Western Nigeria, His instinct in art work started far back in the eighties' while helping to criticize the art project done by his childhood friend, Abiola at the art college, now a renown international artists, he always offers to be of good help practically being together always then.

He later found his inbuilt / inherent ability and talent in his interest in our native clothing embroider designs, adire batik dyeing making which he practiced tremendously using both local and contemporary style. He became a professional designer working mostly with both fabric and wood. His profound interest in art and experience as wood worker inspired him to develop a unique relief wood surface to express his ideas and emotions with sculpting and.painting using beads and natural materials, like local twine, bamboo, mat etc.

Being a geologist by profession, he sought after artificial stone and marble technology which set him up to begin to create sculpture using both natural and manufactured stones.

He obtained Higher National Diploma degree in The Polytechnic Ibadan,at the departments of Geology.
