Bonnie Dixson

I'm Bonnie Dixson, an artist living in Manchester, in the UK.
For the past ten years I have taught in schools and specialised in the care of those with individual needs and learning difficulties. I love physiology and observing human behaviour, this combined with my past career often influence my painting subjects.
I'm influenced by social behaviour, the state of the planet, social labelling, discrimination and the generation that will grow up in a changing world, all of which navigate my thoughts when choosing a subject to paint.

I often combine mediums in my artworks, using acrylic, oil and collage.

I am a self taught artist and have been painting seriously for around two years, although I have dabbled with art my whole life.
I have no professional art education although I have studied interior design, which I gained the knowledge of colour, balance and perspective, I use this knowledge immensely within my work.
