Burkhard Felies

I create art because I love the process – the intuitive flow of color, the play of light and texture, the search for balance within unpredictability. My work blends abstract and figurative expression, inspired by nature, detail, and the beauty of the moment. Art is my way of nonverbal communication – a space for emotion, silence, and story. Each painting invites the viewer to pause, reflect, and connect – wordlessly, but deeply.

At the age of 16 he received his first artistic commissions. After attending the School of Design in Kassel, he studied graphic design at the Hannover University of Applied Sciences, Department of Art and Design. At the same time, he was able to deepen his great interest in art here, as art, sculpture and photography were also taught. During his studies he placed a particular focus on painting techniques, both in theory and in application. He then became self-employed and studied at the same time at the University of the Arts in Berlin. He moved to Potsdam, where he now works as both an artist and graphic designer.
