Carla Dancey

I have always enjoyed painting. I like to paint a variety of colours, styles and subject matters. I am still searching for my own voice within my art creations. I would like my art to be recognizable as my own style like when you see a painting by Picasso, you know who painted it or at least you know his style painted by someone else. So far, my love of variety has kept me from settling on any one set of colours or subjects matters. I really paint intuitively. I just paint what I feel or what I am emotional about at the time. I love painting the geometric shapes of nature. I love horses and animals. I love beautiful sceneries. I paint whatever I am feeling at the moment. This makes the art much more enjoyable for me to engage with and I hope it will also be an enjoyable experience for other people too.

I am self taught. I have been influenced by so many artists including Monet, Renoir, Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Bob Ross, Erin Hanson and other great artists throughout history.
