Caroline Kwas

Originally from the East Coast, I am an oil painter who now calls the American Southwest home. I've traveled in my motorhome and been inspired by all the places I've been, but most recently the desert calls to me. As Mojave National Preserve's resident artist, I was able to focus on the fleeting moments at sunrise and sunset where the land is transformed by fiery colors. I continue to find inspiration throughout Arizona, Nevada, and California, and feel most at home with the RV parked on little-traveled desert roads and brush in hand.
