Caroline Wright

I was born and raised in West Sussex, England and now live with my husband and two children in a beach house just along the coast from Brighton. I am a professional artist and very lucky to be able to paint from my home studio which looks across a pebble beach, straight out to sea.

Inspired by the sea….I am a seascape and abstract artist and I create a magnetic visual escape for others to find a sense of happiness, exhilaration, and relaxation. I paint onto canvas using acrylics and then I apply glossy resin finishes to each piece to enhance and create the illusion of glassy water.

I remember spending much of my spare time as a child colouring and painting and filling endless sketchbooks with detailed drawings of the Sussex countryside where I grew up. My appreciation of space, beauty and light that began at an early age continued to develop throughout my life. Now that I live on a beach, the stunning, ever changing sea views provide constant inspiration for my contemporary seascape paintings. My home studio is flooded with an amazing quality of light which bounces off the sea all year round.
