Catalina Viejo Lopez de Roda was born in Malaga, but raised in the Canary Islands, Spain. Viejo Lopez de Roda currently lives and works in Hudson, New York. She holds an MFA from Hunter College, NY (2014) and a BFA from Montserrat College of Art, Beverly, MA (2005). She works in a variety of media, including abstract collage, figurative multi-paneled paintings and mixed media drawings.
Recent exhibitions include the solo shows The Light Collectors (2019/2020) and Letters to Wild Women at the Hudson Library, NY (2019).
