Pam Malone

I grew up in Los Angeles, where the bright colors of blue sky and bougainvillea were a daily constant. I now live in New Jersey, where the varied colors of the seasons parade before my senses. I consider myself a figurative expressionist. I paint people, birds, dogs, cats and flowers. I seek to reveal the inner soul. I'm not interested in clichés or surface appeal. I'm told my strength is in transmitting feeling through color. I paint in Oil and Acrylic. Among the artists I am most inspired by: Modigliani, Matisse, Georgia O'Keefe, Utamaro and Kirchner. I would hope the viewer would feel the joy I feel when painting a particular subject. I only paint what I care deeply about.
