Tanya Cheprasova

I am a professional artist with a wide range of painting and graphic techniques. I create paintings, drawings, graphic works, and sculptures.

Born in Luhansk, Ukraine, I received my first degree in art from the State Art College in my hometown. I later moved to Kyiv, where I graduated from the National Fine Arts Academy in 2005 and have been living and working in Kyiv until February 2022. After the Russian ivasion of Ukraine, I moved to Paris, France, where I reside now and work at the L'atelier des artistes en exil.

I believe that an artist is a kind of a filter of contemporary time, a receiver, which consciously captures the energy of what is going on, in the state of “here and now”, in what is in here at a particular moment. An artist is simultaneously a transmitter, capable of transferring an accumulated energy in the shape of eloquent images and symbols. Being a creative personality, I express myself by glorifying beauty. I strive to express my vision referring to eternal concepts: life and its values, to nature, love, dignity, and beautiful people. I strive to depict, using my ability to create beauty out of what we have in hand, to convey the saturation of the contemporary images through the entirety of energy.

My works are kept in significant public collections such as museums in Ukraine and in private art collections in Canada, Germany, Poland, UK, Ukraine, and the United States.
