Cherie Sinnen

Cherie Sinnen was born in the southeastern corner of Wisconsin. She moved to New York City after winning a four-year fine arts scholarship to the prestigious School of Visual Arts, one of 25 scholarship recipients nationwide. Four years later she moved to Los Angeles where she began working as an illustrator creating food, botanical, and insect images for notable clients such as the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Williams-Sonoma, Santa Monica Seafood Company, Scientific American Magazine, Bumble Bee, and Deutsche Bank, among others.

Cherie’s intricately detailed paintings are created by combining traditional acrylic painting with digital rendering. Her work has been seen in jury selected
publications such as Communication Arts Magazine, The Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, 3x3 Show, and Creative Quarterly Magazine.

Cherie's studio is currently based in Long Beach, California; A stones throw from the Pacific Ocean where she lives with her husband and their two dogs.
