Christa Elmer
(b. 1972, Switzerland)

Christa Elmer is a Swiss-born artist based in Mallorca, working at the intersection of music and visual art. Known as a jazz singer, she returned to painting during the lockdown, rediscovering it as a powerful and essential form of expression.

She paints as she sings—guided by instinct, rhythm, and the improvisational spirit of jazz. Working primarily with ink, her fluid compositions translate the unseen energies of nature into expressive, meditative forms that evoke movement and renewal.

Deeply inspired by the natural world, Elmer approaches her work intuitively, allowing each piece to unfold through presence and spontaneity. Her paintings reflect a dialogue between sound and image, where her musical sensibility becomes visible.

For Elmer, art and music are inseparable—both are ways of listening, interpreting, and giving form to the invisible.
