Christina L Saarinen

Helsinki-born Christina L. Saarinen is based in Helsinki, Finland.
Her previous art studio was in Jumeirah, Dubai. She has exhibited her work at solo and group exhibitions in the United Arab Emirates.

Christina's intuitive painting method uses music to reconnect with the first creative impulse by connecting the subconscious mind.

Medium: acrylics and Indian color inks on handmade recycled cotton rag paper.

"My paintings express my longing for uninhibited self-expression. To me, spontaneity in the creative process is a form of active meditation."

Art Education

2010 - 2017 visual art studies in Pune, India, in collaboration with Meera, Kasue Hashimoto (1947 - 2017), a visual artist and author from Japan.

She started with watercolor, painting, and drawing a live model at a young age.
