Christophe Domergue

I was born and currently live and work in Sydney on unceded Gadigal Land.

In December 2017 I completed my Master of Art by coursework at UNSW Art & Design. It was during this time that I invented my unique painting process. To date I have had 9 solo shows and been a part of 14 group shows.

Renowned for "Peeling," my unique process employs resin and pigments as both painting medium and adhesives, unveiling urban layers. Collaboration with cities and serendipity infuse my art. Inspired by industrial sites and 90s rave culture, I connect with forsaken spaces, revealing their narratives. I celebrate beauty in imperfections, akin to Kintsugi. Beyond aesthetics, viewer interpretations fuel my creativity, aligning with my life's purpose to ignite creativity in others.
