Clare Thatcher

I am a Contemporary British artist based in Bristol, UK with a passion for painting. My work is deeply connected with a sense of place, taking influence from the idea of liminal space in landscape. The locations I choose and the focus of my attention is highly selective, personal and resonant of individual landscape features and associated thoughts, emotions and reflections. I enjoy the stuff of paint using organic natural pigments to make oil paint.

I attended University West of England UK 2011-2014 gaining a First Class BA Honours Degree in Drawing & Applied Arts and Bath Spa University UK 2014-2015 gaining a MA Fine Art.
