David Mishkin studied fine arts in his native New York. His artistic passion was first expressed in drawings, monoprints, and abstract print art. Returning to France in 2001, he undertook limited edition giclée prints and monumental free standing collages and montages.
A Grand Officier of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, his extensive wine knowledge permiates his cork art where corks become pigments, plastic materials, creative resources.
Recipient of a Papal Blessing from Pope Jean-Paul II, his religious art embraces the unbelievable, opens faith to misericord, His art is inspired by believing in a source, by being faithful, by accepting and embracing the unbelievable.
At 85, he continues to seek and fulfill new commissions.
Education: Queens College AB; Columbia University MA; University of Illinois Ph.D.; Stanford Research Institute and MIT Sloan School post doctoral studies.
