1973 , Den Helder , NetherlandsAfter studying illustration and having a modest career as underground comic artist,Daan turned to photography.From then on he has tried to make a cross-over from the comical of comics to photography , without loosing the suggestion of 'reality' of photography.Daan turns to comics , action movies and absurdism for his inspiration.
After a short period of studying illustration , he continued his study at the academy of fine arts Minerva in Groningen ( Netherlands) as an autonomous artist using film and photography as his medium.
