Dalia Kirkutiene

I am based in Lithuania, where in 1986 I graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts majoring in textile design. For quite a few years I was into Batik and produced authentic designs on textiles. Painting on canvas came to my life two decades ago. Early works of mine distinguished by a recognisable style - building a scene from tiny squares-pixels like mosaic. Lots of patience and concentration was an inseparable part of my art.
My style evolved significantly after 2017 - when hotel Pacai (a luxury hotel set in a 17th-century mansion in the heart of Vilnus old town, also a member of Design Hotels™, ) asked me to paint 172 big scale pieces for them. I felt as if I was ‘unchained’ and freed after those artworks were finalized. I continue using the new style and it appeals to me even more. In the last few years my works were presented in exhibitions in Germany, Paris, International Contemporary Art Fair - ArtVilnius and various local expositions.
