I am a post-disciplinary artist based in St. Louis, Missouri. In a practice that is part therapy, part social commentary, my work spans across a spectrum of creative mediums to tell stories exploring how identity is informed by power and mythology. I seek to empower and give voice to the powerless and combat systems of oppression, focusing not only on pain but also the joy of the Black experience. In having a conversation with myself, my intention is that my work provides insight for people to see themselves, foster growth, and expand perspectives.

In addition to more traditional visual arts media, I do not limit myself to any one discipline. My practice heavily involves music and film. I am creative director for the music collective label FarFetched, as well as a music producer and rapper of my own. My film work includes the critically acclaimed documentary "Whose Streets?" which chronicled the Ferguson uprising of 2014 and for which Filmmaker Magazine selected myself and co-director Sabaah Folayan as part of the “25 New Faces of Independent Film 2016”.
