David Torrado Alfonso

I am David Torrado Alfonso, from the mystical lands of Galicia, Spain, where photography became my faithful companion at the age of 13 when a small digital camera found its way into my hands. Photography became my mode of expression, as my words echoed into the vastness of my own existence.

Being self-taught, I not only learned to compose but also mastered the art of controlling time and light—a magic revealed in the accidental shift to manual mode. Without a guide, errors became my teachers, shaping my unique vision and photographic narrative.

My journey led me to study architecture, a window that broadened my perspective and guided me through different corners of the world. However, I chose to veer away from blueprints and structures to immerse myself in the embrace of the natural world, reconnecting with our home, Earth.

This odyssey is reflected in my photography: geometry, vibrant colors, the fusion with nature, and the sense of belonging to something greater than ourselves. Each image becomes a visual poem, where every click is a stanza telling the story of our connection with the universe.

I have pursued my academic career in architecture at two universities in Spain - Universidade de A Coruña and Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where I completed an internship in architecture. Additionally, I undertook an internship at the Universidade Estadual Paulista "Julio de Mesquita Filho" in Brazil.

I am self-taught photographer with a passion for capturing moments using my creativity to showcase the beauty of the natural world and I also teach people self-expresion with photography.
