Varvara Kurakina

I am a multimedia artist working with acrylics, watercolors, pastels, and papier-mâché sculptures.

My work explores the connection between myths, fairy tales, superstitions, and religious worldviews, and their influence on our daily lives. Despite the advancements in science and our understanding of the universe, the power of premonitions, prophecies, and hidden symbols remains strong. These ancient forms of knowledge are passed down through culture and heritage, shaping us from childhood and resonating universally, regardless of cultural, national, or religious background.

Through my art, I seek to bridge the timeless wisdom of these symbols with the present, exploring how they continue to shape our perceptions, beliefs, and actions.
