Dev Banerjee's diverse family background comprising of musicians, performing artists and travellers have had a positive influence on his creative pursuit. He primarily works on the experimental and energetic expressions of angles and perspectives. He calls himself a freestyle artist absorbed in the myriad tales of Nature.

A self-taught photographer who understood the basics of photography through the trials and errors of controlling film cameras and the play of light and shadows on film negatives. Though he shoots in the digital format now, occasionally, he switches to analog media to relive the joy and romanticism of the film era
