Diana Savostaite

Diana Savostaite is a contemporary artist living and working in London. Her artworks are innovative and experimental, pushing the boundaries of the painting medium. Inspired by her immediate surroundings and personal connection to the natural world, her work intertwines moments from both the present and the past.

Diana's practice has evolved through extensive exploration and experimentation with materials, textures, and canvas forms. She creates large compositions using multiple irregularly shaped canvases, combine them with found objects, or handmade sculptural elements - allowing them to disrupt and interact with the surrounding space.
Her recent works incorporate unexpected materials such as rust, marble dust, silver leaf, clay, embroidery collages, and open-work wooden frames.

Diana began her formal education at the Vilnius Academy of Arts in Lithuania, where she earned a BA in Fine Arts/Painting in 2007. She is currently pursuing MA in Fine Art at the City & Guilds of London Art School.
