Diego Orlando is a fine art photographer from San Sebastian, Basque Country, Spain. He received his Master's degree in creative photography from the University of Catalonia and has since established himself as a leading figure in the art world.
Diego's artistic focus is to find light in a world of shadows through the use of dispersed and disturbing aesthetics. His work is heavily influenced by the study of classics, the fascination for baroque perfection and the chiaroscuro of the Italian and Spanish schools of the golden century. In his photography, he aims to capture a balance of poetry, magic and beauty in the quasi-dreamlike characters and situations. Diego prioritizes the use of traditional photographic processes and post-production to achieve a higher level of artistic quality in each image. His photographic series are meticulously crafted over a period of years, and each image is treated as a unique, limited edition piece.
Among the awards he has received, stand out the International Photography Awards™ in 2018 and 2020 in the categories of Fine Art and Books respectively. In additio...
