Dimitra Fakarou

She expresses herself through contemporary vivid compositions, other organic and other with geometrical features. While abstraction is the base of constructing the image inspired by expressionism, futurism, and comics, her artworks as narratives flirt with the glossary of surrealism as they tend to interpret the paradoxes and contradictions of life and the world. The observation of light in the natural and urban landscape plays a crucial role in the final artistic outcome. Consequently her artworks tend to be hybrid and not to identify with one of the historical art styles.
She also expresses herself through digital and sound art.
Part of her artworks belong to private collections.

She studied Visual Arts (Department of Painting, Multimedia and Sculpture workshops) at the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA) and Sociology at the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences.
