I've always liked to draw since I was a child. I began to paint oil on canvas as a young adult for its tradition, texture and smell. I like to create expressive oil paintings, strong in contour and colour. Some of my paintings are inspired by religion with its drama. I'm drawn to the magnificient and the grotesque. I try to capture the bridge between reality and fantasy to connect the visible with the invisible in life. Many of my paintings reflect life events, inner feelings and turmoil.
Self taught artist. Born and educated in Germany. MD in Medicine. Living and working in UK.
