Dominique Bonhommet

As a child I was always attracted by drawing, then painting. After studying art history at the Sorbonne, I wanted to express myself more seriously in painting.

I have long been confined to pastel. For some years, after taking some time the path of watercolor and oil, I stopped at the acrylic. It is a medium that suits me very well by the flexibility it can bring in improvisation, letting go. I especially like the work of acrylic in the great wet as for the watercolor. I do not hesitate to work on a wet canvas by fusing the pigments.

In recent years, I have explored a more abstract-figurative style. To be like a tightrope walker on a tightrope between the abstract and the figurative while maintaining a fair balance. My subjects are more particularly imaginary landscapes where light is a principle of foreground.......
