Doris Maile

I am an abstract painting artist and work mostly in acrylics and mixed media to create expressive compositions inspired by what is seen and experienced.
My pictures are my personal view oft the world in clear structures, reduced and concentrated on the essentials.
In the interplay of shapes, colors and materials I try to represent what surrounds me and comes into my view.

I studied art at the University of Regensburg.
In 2000 I moved to Cologne and worked as a set designer and prop master for film and television.
But the passion for art and painting has brought me back to my roots and so I am active as an artist since 2004.
