Dottie Stanley

Originally from New Jersey, I studied at The Art Students League in New York, then the Ridgewood Art Center in New Jersey where I studied with Arthur Maynard, a prior student of Francis Vincent DeMond. I moved to Southern California in 1989. I've taken workshops with David Leffel, Everett Raymond Kinstler, Wolf Kahn, Marybeth Mackenzie, and many other notable artists. I worked as a financial advisor for 30 years, then retired in July of 2019 so I could devote my time to art.

BS degree from Rutgers University (Newark division); Series 7, 65, 66 and 3 securities registrations. I worked for Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. Various art study courses at the San Francisco Art Institute, Santa Rosa Junior College, independent workshops.
