Art of perception, action and narrative. My artworks; paintings and mixed media, evolve organically from life's everyday glances. Each layer determines and guides the next.

My work explores relations between existentialism and perceived reality. What we see and what we think.

I tread a path through observations and emotions. My inspiration: a contemporary life and the natural history of a north European country.

I search for inspiration every day, to reach feelings, opinion and attitudes hidden below the surface of everyday appearances.Influences on our everyday lives. A record of fleeting sensations.

What I am looking for? My eye is looking for a connection, to build on and continue my art dialogue. The result: a reveal through a secret mirror of unvoiced reflections.

Andrew Herridge has been painting for some 35 years, mainly in watercolours, gouache or acrylics. Often with a narrative theme to be found in the work.
