Antonio Dulcidio

I'm a visual artist, painter, photographer, travel lover, YouTuber and art book publisher.

With an academic background in Marketing and Advertising, I studied art at the National Society of Fine Arts in Lisbon. He was the founder and President of the Galeria Aberta - Artists Association. Much of Dulcídio's works are thought-provoking, laced with the social comment; crying out to be regarded as a serious alert to the problems faced by today’s society. In other artworks, we see his fascination with light and surrealism often realized through his depictures of creatures from the sea. As a keen scuba diver, Dulcídio has often immersed himself in the surreal world of these alien-like forms and his fascination with them is plain.

2011 - TITLE OF HONOUR and Honorary Member of the Academy of Arts and Letters of Boituba, Brasil, with the seat assignment n. 40.
2010 - Awarded the HONORABLE MENTION GRADE BRONZE (4th place) in the "PICTOREMAS" exhibition with the painting "Twilight in the Douro River".
2009 - National Bronze Medal received for the work "Ladybug II" at "39e Salon-Concours International, de L'Academie Europeenne des Artes" in Belgium (Gembloux).
