What I’ like to tell about myself is very little or, one can say, close to nothing. After all, my intention here is not to present myself but my artworks, my paintings. Therefore, elaborating on how many universities I finished – be that 2 or 3 – would make no sense at all. I will limit myself to stating net I finished an Academy in Berlin, a university in Tel Aviv, plus some more. For more than 30 years now, I’ve been intensely working in painting. I love the colors, and they seem to love me.

For the last 2-3 years, I have dedicated myself to a new direction in art, which has matured over time and found its expression in my latest paintings: I discovered for myself a passion for working with handwritten manuscripts. I would do my own paintings on top of those handwritten originals (texts, drawings, telegrams, notes, etc.) First, I would copy those handwritings to canvas and then write my own paintings on top of that.
It all started with a dream I once had, where Muhammad Ibn Arabi appeared in front of me and invited me to study his works. And it was quite a way to go for me in search for a way of studying works in Arab language without knowing it.
