Elena Monroe

I was born in Moscow, my father was a photographer and artist. Surrounded by his art-work, I acquired a special perspective on life; which fueled my desire to paint. I therefore took every opportunity growing up to paint with my father. By his side he taught me how to bring real life to canvas from the surrounding landscapes. After I had attained a Law Degree in Moscow, I got married and moved to Switzerland.

In Switzerland, I re-ignited my desire to paint whilst attending a professional art course and displayed my work in various Exhibitions and soon my work was being admired by not only my Art Peers but by the general Swiss Community. Through the encouragement of my art teacher and fellow professional colleagues, I have honed my skills and developed, now, into a keen figurative, Nature and landscape painter; as People, flora, fauna and vistas are my greatest inspiration and perfect in their beauty. I hope one day to become a professional highly skilled painter seeking new challenges with my newly invigorated passion to paint people; in order to project their feelings, thoughts, emotions and desires, and to capture the beauty of the natural world, and put all onto canvas.
