RECOGNITION

Elena Blanco works with watercolours and ink to create dreamy, evocative paintings and illustrations. She engages with the unpredictable nature of her media in a receptive, playful way, merging technical skills with intuition.

Through her process, abstract patterns transform into dream-like landscapes and intriguing silhouettes.
A lover of storytelling, Elena draws inspiration from literature, cinema, and dreams. She infuses her scenes with an ethereal, cinematic quality, inviting viewers into open-ended exploration and encouraging them to find personal resonance within her images.

Since the mid-2010s, Elena Blanco has illustrated for private clients and been featured in publications worldwide. Her early work was available through retailers such as John Lewis, Habitat, and Ikea, as well as on platforms such as Etsy, Society6 and Deny Designs. Currently, her paintings are sold globally via Saatchi online and her website.
