Elena César

Being born in a city near the sea makes one experience the horizon in a daily presence. In my paintings I return to the seas of my childhood. Shores and sleepless oceans where the landscape is an awe inspiring experience. Now, the grasslands of the steppe, the wind, like water and sky, as a constant flow. Beginning, motion, emotion and transformation.
Intensity and bareness.

Attends studies teachers Tito Perez, Victor Chab and Kenneth Kemble. Conducts drawing seminars with Ernesto Pesce (Prilidiano Pueyrredón School of Fine Arts) and Maria Luisa Manassero´ studio
Clinic work with Laura Messing and Norberto Marcet.

In his early paintings the immensity of the pampas and the horizon are almost absolute protagonists. It exposes much of this production in Switzerland. But it is after touring the shores of the North Sea, Belgium and the Netherlands, which appear oceans, extensive beaches and misty skies that are the backbone of its current work and his ongoing inquiry.

It is intensely dedicated to teaching, organizing exhibitions and promoting artists from his workshop.

Lives and works in Buenos Aires.
