Elizabeth Spencer

I trained as a mathematician and spent many years teaching at university and writing source code for my own software business.

But, painting is my passion. I've tried numerous mediums and mixed mediums and found I prefer the nuances of watercolour, most especially the luminosity from the white paper reflecting light back through the layered pigments.

I also paint in oil and acrylic, which lends itself well to the more abstract images that i sometimes like to paint.

I have a PhD in Mathematics, a Msc in A I, and BEng in Electronics. But i did win the school art prize, more years ago than i care to remember.

I've had one exhibition, on Waiheke Island in 2011. I sold half of my paintings, which was encouraging.
