I worked as an art teacher at Optima School for the blind. This experience influenced my work greatly. I had to explain art and colour to those who cant see through textures. I started to experiment with texture in my own work to make it interesting to look at and to touch, and to provoke a certain feeling through each painting. Thus every painting can have its own significant meaning to each individual. Flight, escapism, the conscience and life itself are some of the topics I love to work with.
I explore with the possibilities of portraying my dreams and memories visually. This helps me to communicate, this is my language. I call myself an expressionist and impressionist. I want to, have to, express myself on canvas, otherwise I will go mad.
Through my work I hope to be understood, not being so great with words.
