Esther Bonder

Esther Bonder started her career as an architect and landscape designer in Rio de Janeiro. Having worked with influential landscape designer and painter, Burle Marx, she translated her passion of the natural world into her paintings.

With a studio situated in the Tijuca Forest, she takes her inspiration fom her surroundings, capturing the unique lighting and colours in her work.

She invites you to explore her depictions of a variety of oneiric landscapes and gardens, utiising acrylic paints on cotton canvases as her medium.

Esther Bonder was graduated in architecture at Santa Ursula University, in Rio de Janeiro, in 1985.
She did many landscape designs for residential buildings and private houses and, at the same time keep painting and studying art.
