Fahmida Akter-Golob

Fahmida Akter is an artist based in Panama City, Florida, with a lifelong passion for painting and handcrafts. Growing up in Bangladesh, she was deeply inspired by the vibrancy of nature, which continues to influence her artwork today. Despite having no formal training, she skillfully captures the beauty of the natural world through her acrylic paintings and resin handcrafts. Currently in her final year of PhD studies at the University of South Carolina, she balances her academic pursuits with creative expression. Fahmida finds joy in exploring new techniques, often getting lost in her work for hours. Beyond painting, she loves dancing and collaborating with her husband, turning artistic projects into fun, memorable experiences.

Fahmida is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Health at the University of South Carolina, where she researches maternal and child health. She also holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and an MBA in Human Resources Management.
