Always seeking to explore the physical limits of clay, I experiment with malleability, cutting, and re-positioning pieces of the vessel, combined with details attaching, spanning, and weaving across the form. Ever inspired by nature, I want to create innovative work in a medium that constantly draws me.
I am currently the founder and owner of Feldspar Studio & Gallery, a fine art gallery that represents talented artists in a variety of mediums. Building out the space allowed me to design a gallery with a gray palette and custom live-edge pedestals that would not only enhance the artwork, but break with the traditional “white cube”. Feldspar is an artist-focused gallery, where the artists are valued for their attention to detail and passion for their medium. Not only did this new studio and gallery space allow me the opportunity to represent other artists but it allows me to continue developing my own unique techniques with clay, while building on my “Stitched” and “Natural” Series.
