Fernando Romero

Born in Barcelona in 1980 Fernando Romero
was always interested in literature, history and art: this painter spent his teenage years writing short stories and drawing to evade reality. He enrolled in English Philology degree and after that he continued studying to become professional tourist guide. But it was through painting that Romero found the best way to communicate and explore his passion for fantasy and fiction. The artist has defined his style as “mystic figuration”: both the figure and the background have leading roles. Mixing painting with different mediums Romero obtains thinner and thicker textures that blend with the outlines and contours of a never-ending landscape. His intention is to create an oneiric work where the spectator could also evade reality.
